February Photos

I can't believe it has been a whole month since we posted last. Reed turned 11 weeks old today and is such a robust and sociable little boy. When he is not busy eating or sleeping he loves to smile and chat. He is great company and really knows how to entertain his people.

Beside doing a lot of growing, going for walks, and enjoying baths, he had great visits with Uncle Ben and cousin Auden, and his Granddad Bill and Nana Kay this month. He also went to his first baby party where he got to play with his cousin Marli and her friends.

We found out that he can handle a 4 hour drive and weekend trip with ease. We know he has traveling in his genes.

Snow Day

We got a three or four inches of snow this weekend and it is real pretty out here in the woods.

We had a nice visit with Uncle Jeff, Aunt Patti, and cousin Marli, we have gone for some nice walks, and Reed even got a short sled ride! Here's proof:

Maura insisted that we post some of these cute pictures instead of keeping the cuteness to ourselves. So here you go.

Reed is doing great, smiling lots and chatting more and more.

It is nice to continue having visits with our friends and family including Rachel and Bill - here is a good shot of Bill and Reed.

This week Meredith held Reed for the first time - she was reluctant to hold him because she wasn't sure his diaper would provide enough of a barrier.

Within 5 seconds of holding him explosive sounds came from that suspicious diaper area.

4 weeks today!

Hi all! Here are a few new pictures of Reed from today on the occasion of turning 4 weeks old. He has been going through a growth spurt this week and we won't be surprised if he weights 10 pounds at his doctor's appointment on Wednesday. He has learned how to be fussy this week, but let's himself be comforted.... most of the time. He is still a great eater and sleeper. We've been having so much fun watching him discover new things every day - he is getting very active with his arms and studies us and everything around him with more intensity all the time. Thanks to all of our wonderful friends and family who have called, emailed, and come to visit! It has been busy but we have been rewarded with lots of good vibes (and food!). We have been delighted to be able to introduce Reed (and Rachel and Bill) with lots of the important people in our lives.

Solstice Update

Reed is nine days old today and we've had a wonderful week getting to know him - he is a great communicator. Which has made caring for him delightfully and surprisingly uncomplicated.

He has gotten to know many friends and family this week and it has been really nice to have so much help from Gigi and Maura's mother. He has already been out on a couple of walks enjoying our forest and will make an appearance at his first Solstice party tonight at Jeff's house. He also got to spend some special time with Rachel and Bill yesterday.
